A difficult artist to describe, with tunes that vary from the whisper and hum, right through to tunes penned on the evening of a hard drive crash about a song that was being written and was now lost forever, to full-on rock and roll tunes. A one-time collaborator of the Dublin-based Autumata band of Ken McHugh, Cathy Davey is one of the most popular artists in the city of Dublin. She's turned heads at major labels and small-time low-key venues alike. Worth a listen.
