Vertigo Smyth declares "there is a difference between owning a multitude of instruments and being a multi-instrumentalist", but it doesn't stop the Irishman from wielding a mean ukulele, guitar and banjo in a most convincing way. Mournful, yet hopeful. Quiet, yet lingering. Vertigo Smyth is very much part of the new breed of Dublin-based acoustic singer-songwriters. Vertigo is sometimes also accompanied by a full band, which includes Brian O'Grady on doublebass.
