	Bray Jazz Festival Information	Apr 30, 2010 - May 02, 2010
Bray Jazz Festival celebrates its 11th anniversary this year. Started in 2000, the festival has enjoyed a growing reputation for consistently showcasing of contemporary musical improvisers from both at home and abroad. Bray Jazz Festival aims to deliver a richly diverse and varied programme featuring some of the very finest players in jazz and improvised music. Firmly established as a major international music festival weekend in the East Coast, the festival was described as "one of the very best little jazz festivals in Europe" by the highly respected 'All About Jazz' last year. Since its earliest days, Bray Jazz has also attracted widespread public support - and the event has become a 'date in the diary' for an ever increasing number of music lovers from both across Ireland and abroad.

	Five Lamps Arts Festival Information	Apr 22, 2010 - May 01, 2010
An initiative of Marino College of Further Education aims to bring together local, national and international artists, musicians, singers and dramatists, the festival is a 10 day long celebration of eclectic music, new art, high drama, song, dance and community participation, all shining a light on the arts in Dublin's inner city. The festival is run by volunteers.

First hosted in 1992, Ireland’s most established new band showcase has provided a live platform for scores of up and coming Irish acts over the years. Recent acts to have featured include Fight Like Apes, Declan O’Rourke, Halves and Delorentos to name but a few. Ronan Yourell from Dublin band Delorentos said of the tour “It was an important step in the development of our band as we gained invaluable experience through the gigs and also met some really cool people!” A number of artists will be chosen from the tour to perform in a ‘Best of Showcase’ gig which will take place in Dublin venue The Academy on May 1st.

Magda & Sebo K have been filling clubs & entertaining crowds around the world with their brand of innovative forward thinking techno. We've united them for what promises to be one of the biggest nights of techno seen in Dublin for quite a while. Coming into the mix under the encouragement and instruction of Dan Bell and Claude Young, Magda began DJing in 1996 working her way through the underground party circuit, via promoters, such as: Syst3m, and joining the all female DJ collective: Women on Wax, it was only a short while before she began appearing regularly at Detroit area events and clubs. 1999 saw Magda's initial forays into techno, electro and house evolve. Her DJ sets were becoming increasingly minimal and the records in her box reflected a love of weird, challenging music. Invited by Richie Hawtin to open for him at his millennium celebration: Epok, Magda was entering a new phase in her career. The second part of this double bill, Sebo K is a resident at Berlin's esteemed Watergate club has become an unstoppable force in the electronic music scene. Alongside his now timeless original productions, Sebo has done remixes for some of the most respected labels and artists on the planet including Poker Flat, Mule Electronic, Radioslave, and Efdemin. Meanwhile, his tracks have appeared on a nearly uncountable number of compilations and mixes by DJs such as M.A.N.D.Y., Richie Hawtin, Steve Bug, Dennis Ferrer, Loco Dice, and Dixon. His love for deep house combined with his ability to transition seamlessly between minimal techno and straight house.

A newly commissioned solo exhibition that explores the complex and historical world of spectatorship. Adopting the early special effects technique of matte painting, Sander uses and quotes the visual intricacies associated with illusion, while critically examining the personal motivation of consumers who participate in spectator industries. Tourism, audiences, the traveller and the curious are all characters who take time out of everyday life and pay to see things. The gallery will be transformed into a single, circular screen, providing a constantly changing and looping landscape. Sander contrasts the simplicity of matte painting with the complexity of the current economic unknowns that form the background to many of our lives.

Nobody has ever seen a living dinosaur, but scientists can give us a good idea of what they looked like and how they moved. We often imagine dinosaurs as colossal flesh-eating beasts that lived on our planet for an incredible 160 million years. Some were indeed gigantic, but many were only as heavy as a Labrador dog and many were vegetarian! Did you know that the Ornithomimus could run faster than an Olympic sprinter? See how the sociable Triceratops lived in herds, caring for and protecting their young. Meet Dilophosaurus, a relative of the first dinosaur found in Scotland. Come face to face with the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex, one of the fiercest land predators ever known. This massive animatronic model, 4 metres tall and 7 metres long, is so lifelike you’ll think it’s the real thing! Walk past the head of a hungry Tyrannosaurus and watch as his terrifying jaws go SNAP!

The World Premiere of Oscar Wilde's The Birthday of the Infanta. The twelfth birthday of the Infanta, the Princess of Spain, is a grand and marvelous affair. Snake charmers, Egyptian musicians, puppets, bullfighters, monkeys and bears all come to entertain the Infanta and her friends. But the one that makes her laugh loudest is the open-hearted little Dwarf brought in from the forest to perform a wild woodland dance for her. She is so delighted that she throws him a white rose and insists that he dance again after dinner. The innocent young Dwarf is over the moon and he is sure that the Infanta has fallen in love with him. Determined to declare his devotion to her, he decides to sneak into the Palace to find her... ...but what he finds in the Palace will break his simple heart. Cover charge includes a light lunch.
