Description:
The finest little theatre in town, located above the bustling Bewley's of Grafton Street. Lunchtime performances start at 1.05pm to allow local office-goers to make it across in time for the start of the performance, and soup and bread are included in the entrance charge - it's a novel idea, and it works.
On occasion live comedy, jazz, acoustic gigs and other events are run here. It's a super little venue, well worth supporting. Location: 78, Grafton Street, Dublin 2

McADAM’S TORMENT is a new play by a young Irish writer, Audrey Devereux, which is loosely based on the legend of Sawney Beane, the notorious bandit chief of the Ayrshire Coast of Scotland, and which is firmly rooted in the tradition of Gothic horror. John McAdam, a respectable middle-aged lawyer, travels on business to a remote, seemingly peaceful Scottish coastal area during the 17th Century. When his manservant mysteriously disappears, McAdam is fired by an obsessive need to find out what happened and his subsequent investigations reveal a climate of malevolence and fear. In the end, he makes a horrific discovery that will haunt him for the rest of his days. Coming direct from the Oran Mor Theatre - Glasgow's tremendously successful new writing “A Play, a Pie and a Pint” theatre and continuing a longstanding collaboration with Bewley's – McADAM’S TORMENT is a chilling and atmospheric tale that will take you on a thrilling journey into the realm of unspeakable horror.
