Description:
Probably the most forgotten cultural centre in Dublin. Criminal, but understandable for it's sited in a hidden corner of the Dublin Castle complex; many Dubliners have never set foot in here. Winner of numerous accolades for being best museum in Ireland, and abroad, this gem is accompanied by an attractive formal garden (Dubhlinn Gardens, dating to 1680), where savvy locals come to sit, read and while away the hours. On occasion live music and events are held in the Chester Beatty Library, which was formerly the army's ordinance office, and are usually of a high quality standard. Worth checking out!Location: Dublin Castle, Dublin 2
