Description:
"We want to show artists/individuals that create (video installations, photography, animation, documentaries, sound installations, short films), but cant find a space for it. We want monitors and projects and tellys and weird and wonderful sofas. We want student and first timers. We want photographers who need a cheap photo studio." So says The Joinery, and what a beauty of a manifesto. Dublin is artistic, but there's little enough outlet these days, and less in a city of some one million. The Joinery aims to tackle the lack-of-space and lack-of-enthusiasm for the arts head-on, with this multipurpose artistic space, which of late some of the finest gigs and events in the city of Dublin have taken place. More of it, we say!Location: 6, Rosemount Terrace, Arbour Hill, Dublin 7

In this work, Shelley Corcoran explores, through video, projection and photography, the psychiatric mechanism of displacement and how it can be both adaptive and undesirable.
