Description:
Vacant since 2003 and given a new lease of life in 2010, The Workman's Club boasts a 260 capacity live room. Located beside the Clarence Hotel (we wonder if Bono has a hand here somewhere...?), it's a well located city centre venue, and will be well received in a city where many of the local bands have to play in sub-standard locales with dodgy sound systems. The press release goes like this: "the features, fittings and vibes at The Workman’s Club will remain a throwback to another era, when pints were pints and music came from the heart and not a computer", which all sounds rather smashing. Bring it on!Location: 10, Wellington Quay, Dublin 2

Sanzkrit return to the capital after the success of their debut album After The Wedding with a brand new single. Not a show to be missed.... “Destined to be a classic of it’s kind, Sanzkrit's 'After the Wedding' is arguably the best Irish Rock album since Whipping Boy’s Heartworm....... To say that one of the most anticipated home-grown releases of the year doesn’t disappoint would be something of an understatement, for the Monaghan four-piece have delivered a near masterpiece of the genre with this enthralling debut....” 4/5 stars – Hotpress Magazine
